Create A Partition In Windows 7

Sometimes one wishes to partition their system drives for various reasons like storing files or if you have a really large hard disk. Windows 7 has a built-in utility to partition your hard drive.

Here is how you get started.

1. Click Start. Right click “Computer” and click Manage.

2. A Computer Management Window should open.

3. On the left hand pane, under Storage click Disk management.

4. Select the Drive you want to partition, say C drive.

5. Now right click the drive and click Shrink Volume.
