ACER ASPIRE ONE AOD255 WITH DUAL CORE PROCESSOR

Acer has revealed the pricing and availability details of its Aspire One AOD255 dual core netbook. The mini-laptop was briefly available from the Home Shopping Network in August, but now Acer has officially launched it.

The Aspire One AOD255 is available with either a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 single core processor or a 1.5GHz dual core Atom N550 processor. It weighs about 2.5 pounds and measures 1 inch in thickness. Other specifications include a 10.1 inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, a 1.3 mega pixel webcam, 1GB of DDR3 memory, WiFi 802.11b/g/n and a 250GB hard drive.

The Aspire One AOD255 will ship with Windows 7 Starter Edition and Microsoft Office Starter 2010. It is available in red, black, brown and aquamarine.

Pricing and availability
The Aspire One AOD255 is now available for pre-order at Amazon. The dual core version runs $329.99 whereas the single core version is available for as little as $269.99.
