ACER ASPIRE ONE D257 SPOTTED IN THE WILD

A new 10 inch netbook bearing the Acer Aspire brand name has been spotted. The company isn't providing a lot of details, but the Aspire One D257 seems to be one of the thinnest netbooks around. It measures less than one inch in thickness.

Like the last few models in the Aspire One series, the D257 can also dual boot Google Android and Windows 7 Starter OS. But note that the dual boot versions are available only in certain parts of the world.

Acer says that the Aspire One D257 will be available in aquamarine, dark chocolate or seashell white colors. There is still no word on what processor or how much memory and storage the laptop has, but Acer says that it will last for up to 8 hours on a single charge. The supported connectivity options include Bluetooth and WiFi.

The Aspire One D257 has 3 USB ports, a VGA port, Ethernet port, headphone and mic jacks. It doesn't have an HDMI port which probably also suggests that it will not have any discrete graphics options. My guess is that it has an Intel Atom processor with integrated graphics.
